The Jersey Shore Youth Team has been formed to provide area sailors with the resources necessary to broaden their sailing horizons. Our goal is to build upon the foundation laid by our outstanding junior sailing programs which historically have developed some of this country's most competitive racing sailors. To further this tradition, an effort is being made to offer our best young sailors the opportunity to hone their skills against the finest youth sailors in North America. The best way to improve is to practice hard, train at the best clinics and race against top competition. The Jersey Shore Youth Team program will give our young sailors the chance to do just that! We are committed to providing a level of support that many other youth sailors in the country already enjoy.
Any Jersey Shore area youth sailor between the ages of 13 and 20 with skipper experience in major Laser, Radial, Laser 2 or 420 regattas with desire, dedication and commitment to excellence in sailing is eligible. For road trip participation, younger teenagers must exhibit a high level of maturity and responsibility. Accompaniment by a parent or guardian may be necessary.

We are building a database of the area's dedicated young sailors and appreciate any
names and addresses of potential team members.
Who pays for all this?
Regatta expenses, such as registration fees and meals, will be paid for by the sailors themselves. Housing costs will be minimized through camping at regatta sites or by staying with host families. Other costs, such as coaching, travel expenses, van rental fees, and insurance will be shared by the participating sailors except as defrayed by outside contributions.
We need your help!
To be truly successful, a program of this scope requires the support of the entire sailing community. We are asking for all the friends of junior sailing along the Jersey Shore to give generously.
